Las Damas de San Diego Foundation is a binational nonprofit organization, established in 2010 under the laws of the State of California in the United States of America.

Its founder, Ms. Toni Fitzmaurice and a group of Hispanic friends, have united forces to promote and generate philanthropic support to various causes in the areas of health, education, arts and culture, and provide community service.

The vision is to improve the quality of life for children and adults on both sides of the border, for this purpose four regional committees in the San Diego county were established to promote unity and selflessness in our community:

  • La Jolla Regional Committee
  • Downtown San Diego Regional Committee
  • South Bay/Baja Regional Committee
  • Coronado Regional Committee


The synergies of altruistic women have join to promote philanthropy through the Las Damas de San Diego Foundation, and create a more equitable society, generating a significant and beneficial impact in the Spanish society. Combining the valuable grants and humanitarian assistance of the Foundation's group of volunteer women, they have been able to respond and focus their support to the great needs and challenges facing our more vulnerable society to this border region.

Strengthening the Las Damas de San Diego Foundation are women and men, leaders, intellectuals, housewives, professionals, businessmen and students who have united to create a better society.

Las Damas de San Diego Foundation (LDSD) provides hope and help their community, providing grants to nonprofit organizations to finance large-scale humanitarian projects aimed at meeting the basic needs of children, women and elderly, the most vulnerable of our community.

Its mission is to financially support the efforts the nonprofit organizations make to serve their local communities and support projects of basic humanitarian services in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.
